Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 update Build VRUEMK2 Approved

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 update – A new update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 on Verizon has been approved and may even be rolling out already which changes the baseband to MK2, but still powers Android 4.3. As build VRUEMK2. The update appears to be pretty minor to address compatibility with 3rd party chargers while addressing a few bugs here and there.

This update let Email connectivity to be improved which making  data roaming more consistent in Canada and Mexico, device will ‘Power On’ after software update is completed, and better connections while using proxy servers. Other carriers have been improvements to Sleep Mode, but the Verizon upgrade hasn’t been mentioned it yet. But the most important thing of the update mayenable non-Samsung chargers will work correctly with the phone.

Verizon’s support page shows that the update is in a hefty 329 MB in size. But, it seems wrong and excessive for something that called minor. I’d imagine the documents are still showing the 4.3 with Galaxy Gear update and haven’t been updated them yet. If you haven’t got the notification and been prompted yet, you may try and pull the update yourself by manually checking into your Settings > About Phone > System Updates.
