- Open WhatsApp Messenger.
- Press Menu button, tap on Setting.
- Please tap on Chat Preferences, and select on Chat History Backup.
The manual backup data saved as “msgstore.db.crypt” in /sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases folder.
After you’ve full reset your database, WhatsApp will ask you to restore backup file when you re-install it. Select Yes to start the restore process.
Important: Rename backup file that you want to restore from “msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt” to “msgstore.db.crypt”.
